About
Conceived as an open-access digital scholarly journal devoted to queer culture in Central and Eastern Europe, Slavic Queer Studies publishes submissions focused on art, film, literature, music, performance, and theater. It appears biannually (in January and July) and primarily comprises articles and reviews, while occasionally including queer-relevant interviews, fora, translations, information, and bibliographies. All submissions undergo two blind peer reviews.
To allow for the greatest possible intellectual and political independence, the journal is hosted through the Public Knowledge Project. Online hosting through Open Journal Systems provides access to our content in a variety of formats and offers services for archiving and distribution that promise broad availability and a sustainable plan for managing the journal’s data.
